Abstract
|
|
|
A case of mesenteric cyst occuring in a 20 years old korean school boy was reported.
This patient was admitted at the Department of surgery, Hanil Hospital on January 10, 1968, with the chief complaint of the fetal head sized, well movable abdominal soft mass which was first noticed about 3 years ago.
The surface of tumor was round, smooth and grayish white in color, and measured 13.0cm×12.2cm×9.8cm.
On cutting the cyst was uniloculer which containing grayish white serous fluid.
Microscopically the submitted tissue was fibrous tissue composed of muscle layer and blood cells showing histological feature of mesenteric cyst.
Reporting this relatively rare case of mesenteric cyst which was enucleated uneventfully, we added a brief review of literatures.
